Also known as polyoxymethylene (POM). Acetal is a widely used rigid engineering plastic. It is highly resistant to fatigue and cracking and resistant to many solvents. It has a low coefficient of friction and remains stable in reasonably high temperatures, making it an excellent choice for bushes and bearings.
